A unit of LATAM Airlines Group, LATAM Peru is the country’s main airline that has flown 60% of the air passengers in Peru since 2015. On October 28, LATAM Peru landed its last flight from Orlando International Airport to Jorge Chavez International Airport before terminating its services between the two cities. The airline was the only direct flight service provider to offer regularly scheduled passenger service between Lima and Orlando.
The airline has no intentions to stop the flights between LIM-MCO permanently. It’s a temporary shutdown. Earlier LATAM Airlines Group had announced the suspension of the LATAM Peru flights on the Lima-Orlando route till June 14, 2023. But in a recent update, the carrier mentioned that the flights would resume in March 2023.
Air travelers can still fly to Orlando from Lima via São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil. The flights operate thrice a week- on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Passengers also have an option for airport change from Orlando International Airport to Miami International Airport on LATAM-operated flights free of charge. Courtesy of the partnership between LATAM Airlines and Delta Air Lines, additional alternatives are also available.
