Launching Flights To the British Virgin Islands: American Airlines

American Airlines has already begun preparing for next summer by announcing a new route from Miami International Airport. The airline announced on Monday that it intends to start offering flights that will take passengers to the British Virgin Islands.

The service will be the first non-stop service from the US to the British Virgin Islands. The British overseas territory that has apparently been looking to entice service from a North American airline will also be relieved by America's decision.

American Airlines is All Set to Expand its Presence in the Caribbean

Flights between Miami International Airport and Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport will start on June 1, 2023, according to American Airlines. The largest regional carrier, Envoy Air will fly the route daily using Embraer E175 aircraft under the American Eagle brand.

“This venture to have [nonstop] flights between Miami and the British Virgin Islands will make it significantly easier, faster, and more affordable for persons from around the world to come to the British Virgin Islands, which is one of the must-visit tourist destinations in the world. Our residents will also benefit from convenient connections for business and leisure travel to dozens of destinations across America’s route network.” Kyle Rymer, British Virgin Islands' Vice Premier and Minister for Communications.
